Criminalizing the Sale of Natural Health Products?

“Canada’s C-51 Law May Outlaw 60% of Natural Health Products; Big Pharma Pushing to Criminalize Supplements”

Militant in tone, sensationalistic in advocacy and entertaining if not informative, NaturalNews.com headlines such as the one above can indeed grab your attention.

But unlike the Orwellian society with an ever ominous, ever present big brother watching over our every move as suggested by today’s NaturalNews.com headline (Big Pharma pills to be encoded with data bits that you swallow?), there is perhaps some merit in the persecution complex of the Natural Health Products industry.

You simply have to tune in to my January 6th, 2010 interview with Natural Health Products Protection Association (NHPPA) president Shawn Buckley to see that even if the wild fire of pending extinction is not necessarily raging out of control, there is nonetheless something to the smoking controversy surrounding proposed legislation regarding the production and sale of natural health products.

Against this backdrop we are once again pleased to welcome our health care industry thought leader Jeff Knott and the NHPPA’s Buckley, to discuss natural health products from both a patient’s rights and treatment effectiveness standpoint in “Criminalizing the Sale of Natural Health Products?

The show which airs live across the Blog Talk Radio Network on Thursday, July 28th at 8:00 PM EST will also be recorded and made available on an On-Demand basis.
