Who Is Your Favorite Cartoon Canine?

As man’s best friend, and a faithful and loyal companion and protector, the relationship between the domesticated dog and humans dates as far back as 14,000 to 17,000 years (the Upper Paleolithic close to the Pleistocene/Holocene period for those with an inclination to dig further or don’t have a date on Saturday night).

Of course the famous hounds who have made the top 5 list in our newest poll for 2011 haven’t been around quite that long, but nevertheless have made an indelible impression on us through books, movies and on television.

Now is your opportunity to show your appreciation for the countless hours of laughter they have provided over the years by choosing your favorite cartoon canine.

Simply vote for one of the five that have been listed or, cast a vote for your own personal favorite!

How could you have left Underdog out of this important forum? Sad- just sad!!!

As there is no Mr. Peabody, I had to make the difficult choice between Snoopy and Scooby-Doo. I can sympathize with Scooby’s love for eats, but Snoopy and his rich fantasy world and love of root beer? I think that has to win, for me.

I’m voting for Wiley Coyote. He is a cannine, he’s been around a long time and he is one funny dude. I love the expressive face as he faces another doomed event sponsored by ACME. You go Wiley!
