As you know, the PI Window on Business will periodically take a detour to both the evening and the world of music by showcasing up and coming or undiscovered musical talent.
In our inaugural show we feature local Canadian talent John Wright, whose Songs of Life CD is a unique sound that can best be described as a cross between Van Morrison and Bob Dylan.
This evening I am pleased to welcome Ryan Hartt & the Blue Hearts who were voted “Best Blues Band in CT” by the readers of the Hartford Advocate in 2005, 2007 and 2008.
A combination of traditional West Coast, Chicago and Texas-flavored blues has garnered the band some pretty hefty credentials, including two critically acclaimed albums on their own Far-Tone Records label (the later of which was a top-eight finalist in the International Blues Foundation’s 2006 “Best Self-produced CD” contest) and winners of the 2003, 2006 and 2009 CT Blues Challenges.
So turn down the lights, kick back and enjoy a nice holiday drink besides a crackling fire and gently lit Christmas Tree as we talk with, and play a track or two by Ryan Hartt & the Blue Hearts.
