Welcome to the New PI Window on Business Blog

When the PI Window on Business Show first aired on March 26th on the Blog Talk Radio Network we had a simple vision . . . to bring to life the insightful and at times thought provoking articles that have made Procurement Insights one of the most popular blogs in our industry.

And as was the case with Procurement Insights’ dynamic growth in terms of reach and impact, the PI Window on Business Show has also exceeded our early expectations.

Broadcasts such as the June 4th segment “The Psychology of Social Networking” which featured a panel of experts that included Ecademy Founder Penny Power (whose latest book “Know Me Like Me Follow Me” is now available for advanced orders), bestselling author of 27 books including “The Truth About Profiting from Social Networking” and the soon to be released “Sams Teach Yourself LinkedIn in 10 MinutesPatrice-Anne Rutledge, and social marketing guru Andrew Ballenthin from Sol Solutions, were one of several watershed moments in the show’s brief but already exciting history.

In fact I am happy to share the LINK to a recap of the June 4th interview on Andrew’s highly successful Community Marketing Blog through which he is able to access “a million LinkedIn members.”

One week later, we welcomed another group of esteemed guests to discuss the question “Has Blogging Crossed The Threshold of Legitimacy?

Our guest panel included Dr. Ellen Brandt, PhD, who after being away from formal journalism for more than a decade, drew on her content skills from 30 years of magazine feature writing to emerge as the winner in the Community Marketing’s Great Blog-Off.  This week, Ellen launches her new blog “Baby Boomers – The Angriest Generation”; Elizabeth Hannan, an on-line evangelist at Pragmatic Marketing whose firm focuses on leveraging the new media to elevate brand awareness (Elizabeth is also the creative force behind the Jive-from-the-Hive blog); David Bush, CEO Iasta, a supply chain software company and the creator and editor of an industry leading blog the e-Sourcing Forum; and Betsy MacKinnon who in addition to her role as VP Marketing and Communication for the Inquisix Business Networking Community, also maintains two blogs including “The Liquid Betsy.”

This group provided a unique perspective on the rising popularity of blogs and the resulting impact on several areas including traditional, mainstream media.  For a complete recap visit The Liquid Betsy site through the following LINK.

In the intervening weeks, months and hopefully years we will continue to deliver a high octane program that will feature industry thought leaders and best selling authors who will come together to address a variety of timely subjects.

In fact the June 3oth  segment “21st Century Leadership: An Evolutionary Profile”  is particularly exciting as we welcome four internationally acclaimed-bestselling authors like Bill McAneny whose book “Frankenstein’s Manager: Leadership’s Missing Links” is a seminal work in providing executives with an understanding of the obstacles to becoming a successful leader; bestselling author Dr. Gabriela Cora, MD, FAPA, MBA whose books including “Leading Under Pressure” has made her a regular guest and key resource for CNN, FOX, NBC, Lifetime Television, The New York Times, Forbes and Business Week.  Also joining us will be Merydith Willoughby whose latest book “Sex in the Boardroom,” provides a systems approach to leadership development; and Forrest Breyfogle III whose 4-book series on the Integrated Enterprise Excellence System (IEE: Going Beyond Six Sigma and the Balanced Scorecard) enables and empowers executives to take a holistic view of their enterprise, better preparing them for the challenges of the 21st Century business world.  This is also another show you will not want to miss.

Over the next few weeks we will also be adding interactive features to the site to enhance your experience and ability to access the information that will keep you on the leading edge of developments in the world of business.

Thank you for visiting our new blog, and of course for listening to the PI Window on Business Show on Blog Talk Radio.
